Listening to Neal and Siskey’s conversation about the standard at Alabama and I was taken back to 2020 Bama post game comments. After losing a shootout and fans giving a standing ovation to the team as they walked off the field, Lane said (and I’m paraphrasing here) “playing a hell of a game and coming close was good and all, but that’s not what we came here for. We didn’t come here to be good, we came here to be great”.
