Last night was, in some ways, demoralizing…the talent gap is wider than I thought. Can’t beat these coaches and kids up over it…don’t think it was an effort issue until maybe the 4th quarter. It just was what it was.
Sorta figured we would be 8-4 this season with a chance at 9-3 if all went well. 10-2 is no small feat…just finish strong and win the bowl game to finish 11-2 and likely be ranked in the top 10-15 going into next season.
We need an abundance of guys in the trenches and that was never more evident than last night. Can’t really afford to spend NIL funds on guys that end up being misses; I’m actually hopeful for no staff turnover to maintain consistency in that regard. Time will tell.
