My Monday morning thoughts...

I'm certainly not "in the know" but here are my thoughts. Saturday was big for several reasons outside of the obvious.

1) It finally gives Kiffin the sexy win we've all been waiting for and shuts up the "BuT WhO HaS hE bEaTeN" crowd.

2) Assuming we win the last two, we appear to be a lock for the CFB playoff. This shows big donors and fans that, although NIL is not guaranteed to work, it is the only way that WILL work. Kiffin has proof of concept now.

3) We are starting to be perceived as elite by talking heads. This will make 3 (ETA: 4 actually) straight 8-2 starts to the season. In this new world, it never hurts to be considered elite and have a credibility when the committee is choosing between several teams.

4) We are peaking at the perfect time. Our fans, coaches, and players deserved Saturday.

5) Huge for recruiting.

Why no emails or push from Grove Collective?

It’s been 48 hours since Georgia. You think they would have had something queued up in case of the win for Sunday or today knowing how emotional and that this was being the biggest regular season win in program history.

Grove Collective has no doubt been good to the program, but there are times I do wish their marketing team would capitalize on timing more. I just made a bonus contribution today, but overall people generally need a push. Especially if we’re wanting to get in that 15+ million range next year again.

CFP Rankings- Largest Jump Into the Top 10

In 2019, Minnesota beat #4 Penn State and jumped from #17 to #8.

For the largest jump outside of the Top 10, in 2017, Michigan State beat #7 Penn State, and went from #24 to #12.

So there is some history. And Georgia was #3, and had a win on the road against the team that was #1. Just follow the writers and we'll be good.

Top 25 is a joke if you go by strength of schedule

Texas, Penn St and Indiana have combined for ZERO wins against teams current ranked in the Top 25

yet they're all in the top 5 of the AP poll.

Texas signature win- a 6-4 Vandy?

Penn St signature win- Illinois?

Indiana signature win- a 5-5 Michigan?

just gotta let it play out i guess, but if Alabama or Georgia played Indiana at a neutral site Indiana would be double digit dogs
