I mostly remember odd things in Starkville. It was 2007 when Gene Swindoll ran into me on the sideline as Pegues was running for the return touchdown. Gene was literally sprinting and and trying to keep up with Pegues. Bizarre. And in 1999, I went with my uncle who is a State fan. I was in the middle of the MSU season ticket holders during the sequence with the ball bouncing off the foot for the interception and then the field goal. In 2003, leaving the game, a car was stuck in a mud puddle and slung mud all over me while I was walking to my car. Then, in 2015, MSU's general lethargy and shock, as Ole Miss jumped out to the quick lead and reality set in that they weren't going to the Sugar Bowl.
