Long story, shorter:
About a year ago Aubrey (who was I think 14 or 15) took her own life. Allegedly, she had been bullied by 4 girls in her school relentlessly. Her mom found her hanging in her bathroom one morning.
Her mom has spent the last year speaking out against bullying and the school district. The parents of the alleged bullies apparently sued her to restrict her social media. A judge (?) agreed. She appealed and won recently.
Now, the girl’s best friend has been suspended from school for 45 days for posting stuff about missing her friend and against bullying during the summer months and not while on campus. She has not accused any of the kids of anything.
Complicating matters is that one of the alleged bullies’ fathers is the school superintendent.
Any lawyers that can weigh in on this? It seems egregious overstepping.
