That's the biggest thing that's being missed with all this. Forget freeze. The Old Miss Administration made efforts to collude with the media to misrepresent what was going on at Ole Miss. They did it to deceive their fans, they did it to deceive the public, and they did it to try and win the court of public opinion against the NCAA. That is only going to make things worse, much worse if possible. And if I were the fans right now I would be absolutely livid at being lied to rather than trying to circle the wagons around these backstabbers.

OM was also telling everyone in the media that there was nothing to the NOA they received right before NSD. You're right, the 2016 class should be allowed to leave with no penalty.

Three components of fraud:

1. Did OM knowingly lie to these players

2. Did the players rely on the lies while deciding to enter into an agreement with OM.

3. Were the players damaged?

Yes for one and two but three is debatable.

When this all started OM fans were in denial of any wrong doing at all, then it was all on Houston Nutt because Freeze was above cheating, now everyone is lying. Yahoo ran an article about OM coaches and athletic administration lying to kids before the 16 signing day. How most of the investigation was about other sports and all the football stuff was on the previous staff. They went on to repeat it was also told to the 17 signing class, those kids trusted Freeze and the OM recruiting people. Then the big bomb was the NCAA should void them signing with OM and give those kids a do over with no sit out penalty. Well that might as well be the death penalty, that won't happen. But OM fans just like those recruits trusted their coaches and administration, but as it turned they were lied to just like those kids were. Then there was the attempt to sidetract the investigation, OM was starved for success, and said others were jealous of their success. Freeze publically dared anyone to find anything he was doing wrong. Coach O is known nationwide as one of the best recruiters in the country, he couldn't bring classes in like Freeze did, is Freeze so arrogant that he thinks people believe he is just that good? He brought troubled kids to OM who few would touch, maybe he didn't do anything in Oxford, but he was trouble everywhere else he went.

With all that has come out, OM fans are embarrassed they defending Freeze, he embarrassed the university, his actions were not those of the type man he claimed to be. Bobby Petrino was seduced by a woman half his age to get a job, Hugh Freeze was calling hookers, who is the sleaziest?
