I think Ole Miss would potentially benefit more from a Texas win than a UGA win. I understand that an Ole Miss win over a 10-2 UGA is a resume booster, but in the scenario where we are 1 of multiple 10-2 teams, including UGA, I don't like our chances of getting in over them even with a head to head win. Their win at Texas would be more impressive than our win over UGA at home (unless we beat them by 2 TDs or something crazy) and our loss to UK would be much worse than their losses at Bama and in Oxford - not to mention their brand appeal and the benefit of the doubt for having been dominant for the last 3 years. I think we would rather knock UGA out of the conversation by giving them a 3rd loss and hope for chaos elsewhere. What am I missing aside from the fact that we are obviously going 7-5 and none of it mattering?
