The quarterbacks by the numbers:

Quarterback Rating:
Corral has a qb rating of 131.7 which ranks 84th nationally and 13th in the SEC.
Plumlee has a qb rating of 115.2, which would rank 109th nationally (if he had enough data to be included on the list).
This rating for Plumlee would be somewhere outside the top 15 as the extended stats only show the top 15.

Completion %:
Corral has a completion % of 59.6, which ranks 87th nationally and somewhere outside the top 15 in the SEC.
Plumlee has a completion % of 48.6, which would rank 123 nationally.

If one just looks at these numbers it would seem as if this is a no-brainer and Corral should be the starter.
However, lets not act like 84th or 87th nationally and 13th or 15th in the SEC is good.
Corral has, thus far, proven to be an average passer at best; these numbers would actually suggest below average.
Unfortunately for Corral, he doesn't bring much else to the table, when compared to Plumlee.
Corral has rushed 41 times for 91 yards, an average of 2.22 per.
The real problem with Corral, thus far, are the negative plays that do not show up in the passing stats.
Through roughly 3.75 games, Corral has been sacked 10 times while fumbling/lateraling at least 6 times.
Almost everyone of these 16 plays have killed drives and in some cases have directly resulted in points for the other team.

Plumlee on the other hand has 28 carries for 162 yards, an average of 5.78 per.
He has been sacked 1 time and has zero fumbles/laterals.

This is somewhat captured by ESPN's total QBR rating:
Corral's QBR is 50.0 which is ranked 85th nationally.
Plumlee's QBR is 74.7 which would be ranked 24th nationally.

Another way to look at this, in an attempt to make an apples to apples comparison:
Corral's first college start was on the road at Memphis and his passer rating for that game was 78.0.
Plumlee's first college start was on the road at Alabama and his passer rating for that game was 94.4.
Corral’s QBR against Memphis was 26.4.
Plumlee’s QBR against Bama was 66.7.

Another interesting comparison: Plumlee’s QBR against Bama of 66.7 was better than 3 of Corral’s 4 starts. Corral’s QBR was 26.4 vs Memphis, 35.5 vs SELA, and 56.5 vs Cal.
What would Plumlee's passer rating have been against SELA or Arkansas?
What would Corral's passer rating have been against Bama? How many sacks would he have taken? How many fumbles?
Corral almost lost the SELA game for Ole Miss with the two sack fumbles near the endzone.
He also let Arkansas stay in the game longer with that crazy lateral.

Look, I don't know who will be the best QB in the next 2-3 years.
I honestly think all 3 of these QBs (Corral, Plumlee, and Tisdale) end up starters somewhere.
The chances are high that only one of these guys comes back next year.
That said, I think they should go with the guy that gives them the best chance to win right now.
Corral would be better suited for Longo's offense or Cutcliff's offense.
But everywhere Rich Rod has been, his offense is at its best when he has an elite runner playing quarterback.
Plumlee is an elite runner.
Tisdale may actually be the best option, we just haven't seen enough of him to know.
