Make sure you saw our nuggets from yesterday and last night. They are pinned under these.
I guess I should apologize first off for not completely knowing the criteria for the 28 signee limit in the Southeastern Conference. A source emailed me this story by Chris Low from almost a year ago detailing the rule a little bit. According to the article, the 28 signee limit only pertains to prospects that sign letters-of-intent from February to May 31.
This means that the four junior college signees -- Wesley Pendleton, Ivan Nicholas, Gilbert Pena and Zack Stoudt -- don't count toward that 28 number. They stil count toward the 25 but not the 28.
The article also says that high school players that enroll in December don't count toward the 28, so Ethan Hutson's number could not be included, as well. Due to this loophole of sorts, Auburn signed 32 last year.
At the end of the day you have to get down to 25 by August, but there's some cushion here either way.
Neal will add to these nuggets in a bit. As of this moment, things continue to look good for C.J. Johnson, Jermaine Whitehead, Tobias Singleton and Nick Brassell. And Ole Miss continues to gain momentum currently on all those prospects.
