As we first reported last night, Robert Nkemdiche has decommitted from Clemson. Neal broke the news around 9 p.m., and Head to Head Radio also jumped into the boat about an hour later. Robert denied the report to the AJC at the time, but Grayson head coach Mickey Conn told multiple media outlets this morning that Nkemdiche told the Clemson coaches of the decision on Sunday.
Nkemdiche has been removed from Clemson's commitment list. He's worth 250 points in the rankings.
Nkemdiche, along with the rest of his family, including his brother who lives in California and his mother, Beverly, will be in Oxford this weekend to see Denzel and the Rebels play Vanderbilt.
If you somehow missed it, here's Neal's excellent story with Beverly from last Friday. If you did see it, it's worth an additional read now that he's officially back on the market.
Here's an update from the network, saying he's going to take 5 official visits.
Conn told the Gwinnett Daily Post: "At this point, I think it's a family decision."
Certainly looks good for the Rebels and the nation's top prospect.
