I'll start by saying I am all for making a buck. As my dad always said, strike while the iron is hot, but IMO the Library takes it too far. If they are an advertiser I am sorry Neal and Chase. My daughter is 21 soon to be 22 and she and her friends like to go there. We bought her the Library card for $100 in January so she wouldn't be hit with those $80 covers on any weekend that is deemed a big weekend, which anymore is about every weekend in Oxford. Those cards were good for a year. I have gone a few times with her and her friends, but it is not my jam. Thursday they posted on social media that the 2024 cards would be sold this weekend and this weekend only for $200. I bet the guys in black SUVs would have a ball going through the books at that place. Anyway, like I said I am all for making a buck, but that place rubs me the wrong way. Long story short she got the card, but I won't be going with her.
