I could be slightly off on this, as someone could have played a defensive snap that I missed and not just special teams.
We played 23 players on defense last night. 3 starters and 3 reserves were HS signees. The other 17 were transfers.
On offense we played 19 players(including Pegues). 3 starters and 3 reserves were HS signees. Of the 6 HS signees that played offense, only Parrish was a position player. The rest were OL.
So overall, minus STs we played 42 players, only 12 were HS signees.
Maybe Im wrong, I just don't think you can build a football team this way. I get it's the new world of football, but you have to develop some.
Defense was Perkins and Washington. Reserves were J Brown, Echoles, and Harris.
Offense was Parrish, Mcintyre, Pettus. Reserves were Acker, Warren, and B Sanders.
So of the 12 HS signees we signed, 9 were on one of the lines. We played 3 guys....3.....that weren't portal guys other than linemen.
