This league is really damn good (duh). Literally anyone can get beat on any given night…
Vanderbilt beat #12 A&M on the road. Georgia beat #3 Florida, and was blowing them out at one point.
Winless SC beat Texas, who just beat #15 UK
Arkansas beat #15 Missouri and Oklahoma, losers of 5 straight, beat #21 Mississippi State
And that was just in the last week!
The league is currently projected to get 13 teams in the NCAAT. With another in the First Four Out category.
So … yeah … we are going to lose some games. We got our ass kicked by probably the best team in the country on their home court. We lost a close game against a likely NCAAT team on their home court. We lost to our rival on our home floor, which sucks, but it happens. Prior to that we won 3 games in a row. It’s a long season. There are gonna be ebbs and flows. All that mattered was getting to 8…and we did that. I think we win 1-2 more before it’s all said and done. And a lot of pearl clutchers are gonna look silly. Just relax!
Also…our best returning player has been injured all year and he’s not gonna get healthier. Sucks, but is what it is. He didn’t get worse in his 5th year of college basketball! He’s playing hurt. An already limited roster is further hindered by his injury. This season could be a whole lot worse than what it’s been.
