Out front we have a story on Ole Miss commit Issac Gross. He's been a surprise during the Under Armour week. He says he'll visit Miss. State and may talk to USM prior to National Signing Day, but I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

Someone asked below if he could get another star. He's put up the kind of week that brings that into the discussion. I'll talk to some people and try to get more clarification. I wouldn't rule it out.

Ole Miss coaches will get back out on the road today after the dead and quiet periods. A major goal will be to soon figure out what's going on with I'Tavius Mathers -- if anything.

Speaking of running backs, Hinesville, Ga., RB Shadrach Thornton has set up an official visit for Ole Miss for Jan. 28. He's firmly committed to NC State, but the Rebels are trying to get involved. He's already visited Ga. Tech, Vandy, UK and NC State.

I mentioned it a couple days ago, but keep an eye on the fallout from Tennessee. Decatur, Ga., wide receiver Keithon Redding is no longer committed to the Vols, and he'll officially visit Ole Miss on the 20th. He's also looking at MSU and UK.

Also, linebacker Khalid Henderson is looking around after a recent conversation with Dooley at Tennessee. He says he has an offer from Ole Miss.

Henderson said this to the AJC:

“Coach Dooley said there is a ‘possibility’ you might not be coming to Tennessee,” Henderson told the AJC. “He said you have two options: ‘You can stay committed to us, wait it out and see what other players do. Or you can de-commit and try to get some attention from other schools but that doesn’t mean you can’t come to Tennessee’ or whatever. He was very iffy about everything. He wouldn’t say anything concrete. He kept on using that word ‘possibility.’”

“I thought it was a bunch of crap. I guess if Tennessee is out there looking for other linebackers, then I can go find another place to go. Tennessee is where I wanted to go, and that’s where I’ve been loyal to ever since June. But it is what it is.”

Mississippi State offered EMCC quarterback Bo Wallace yesterday. This isn't surprising. Ole Miss has long been Wallace's favorite, but the Rebels haven't offered a scholarship. He has three to play three.
