SEC Player of the Week – Auburn forward/center Johni Broome, a 6-foot-10, 240-pound senior from Plant City, Fla., led the Tigers with 16 points, 14 rebounds, four blocks and two steals in a win over No. 6 Tennessee. Playing his first game since suffering an ankle injury on January 11, Broome came off the bench to see 33 minutes of action.

SEC Freshman of the Week – Texas guard Tre Johnson, a 6-foot-6, 190-pound freshman from Garland, Texas, averaged 21.0 points, 3.0 assists, 2.5 rebounds and a block in wins against over No. 22 Missouri and No. 13 Texas A&M. In Tuesday’s victory over Missouri, Johnson tallied 12 points (5-6 FT), four rebounds and two assists in 35 minutes. In Saturday’s come-from-behind win against Texas A&M, he recorded a career-high 30 points (8-18 FG, 4-10 threes, career-best 10-10 FT), four assists against one turnover and two blocked shots in 37 minutes. He converted 15-of-16 (.938) from the free throw line in the two contests.
