· The SEC leads the nation with five teams (Tennessee 1st, Auburn 2nd, Kentucky 5th, Florida 7th and Alabama 10th) ranked in the Top 10 of the NCAA’s NET rankings.

· The SEC leads the nation with 12 teams ranked in the Top 50 of the NET.

· Eight SEC teams are currently Quad 1 opponents regardless of the game location. Fifteen teams are either Quad 1 of Quad 2 opponents.

· SEC teams have already amassed 19 wins in 34 games against Quad 1 competition. They have a 33-18 record against Quad 1 & 2 teams.

· SEC teams have won 86.8 percent (125-19) of their games this season.

· SEC teams are 46-16 (74.2 percent) against teams from the ACC (26-3), Big 12 (12-2), Big East (4-4) and Big Ten (4-7).

· SEC teams are 15-7 against teams ranked in the Associated Press Top 25, including a 6-2 mark against teams ranked in the Top 10.

· The SEC is the top-ranked conference by KenPom with a +19.70 rating.

· Five SEC teams are ranked in the Top 10 of KenPom’s team rankings, 13 are in the Top 50 and all 16 teams rank in the Top 70.

· Tennessee and Auburn are 1-2 in the latest Associated Press poll while five of the Top 10 teams are from the SEC.

· The SEC leads the nation with nine teams ranked in the Associated Press Top 25: Tennessee 1st, Auburn 2nd, Kentucky 5th, Alabama 7th, Florida 9th, Oklahoma 13th, Texas A&M 17th, Ole Miss 19th and Mississippi State 25th. Missouri, Arkansas, Georgia and Texas are among the teams receiving votes.

· The SEC dominated the second annual SEC/ACC Challenge 14-2. The average margin of victory in the 14 SEC wins was 16.2 points while the margin in the two losses was 3.5 points.

· Five SEC teams won MTE titles this season: Auburn (Maui Invitational), Florida (ESPN Events Invitational), Oklahoma (Battle 4 Atlantis), Tennessee (Baha Mar Hoops Bahamas Championship), and Texas (Legends Classic).

· Missouri guard Tamar Bates was named SEC Player of the Week while Georgia forward Asa Newell was SEC Freshman of the Week.

· Three SEC coaches rank among the winningest active coaches in the nation: John Calipari (1st/821 wins), Rick Barnes (2nd/814 wins) and Bruce Pearl (12th/670 wins).

· Nine of the 16 current SEC schools (56 percent of the conference) are coming off an NCAA Tournament berth

· Twenty-two percent of the players on NBA Opening Day rosters that went to college attended SEC schools. The SEC led all conferences with 103 players on NBA Opening Day rosters.

· Alabama’s Mark Sears and Auburn’s Johni Broome were named to the six-person Associated Press Preseason All-America team. Texas A&M’s Wade Taylor IV and Arkansas’ Johnell Davis were among the players that received votes for the squad.

· Alabama was the favorite to win the 2025 SEC championship in a preseason poll of media from around the league and nation. Auburn was picked to finish second and is followed by Tennessee, Arkansas and Texas A&M. Alabama’s Mark Sears was selected by the media as the preseason player of the year.

· The SEC has been home to the national freshman of the year in each of the last three seasons: Auburn’s Jabari Smith (2022), Alabama’s Brandon Miller (2023) and Kentucky’s Reed Sheppard (2024).

· Five coaches have been named national coach of the year: Rick Barnes, Chris Beard, John Calipari, Bruce Pearl and Rodney Terry.

· Six coaches have coached in the Final Four: Rick Barnes, Chris Beard, John Calipari, Nate Oats, Porter Moser and Bruce Pearl.
