Mainly just getting a thread started for the day. I see a good bit of discussion on the board about the tight end position, in regards to Neal's note on Mitch Parsons last night (it's in yesterday's nugget thread) with Parsons saying Ole Miss hasn't decided if it has a spot for him.
The Rebels continue to recruit JUCO TE Brandon Zandenburg and Auburn commit Arshad Jackson, who is showing interest to Ole Miss and FSU since Chizik's firing. Zandenburg is visiting UCONN this weekend and has visits to Miami and Vandy lined up in January.
Also, don't forget it's quite possible Jeremy Liggins ends up at tight end. He's open to whichever position helps the team, and while he's lost some weight, tight end certainly looks like a spot that would fit him. He's not yet eligible academically to join Ole Miss in January, but as I've said, I'll be very shocked if he doesn't get it done. I'm not getting into specific academic numbers unless the prospect directly tells me, but it seems Liggins is a hair shy of what's required on the ACT and should reach that goal. No reason to panic about his eligibility at this time.
