This OL is not good enough for these long deep WR routes to work. Weiss is asking Dart to wait for these 3-4 second pass routes to open up while the OL is only giving him 2 seconds to make a decisions. This OL isn't good, and Weiss's play calls in these SEC games are requiring the OL to be better than what they are. It's time to shorten the routes, quick passes and give up on all of these deep routes.
Look, this roster isn't changing at this point, and Garrison isn't good enough to make this OL play better. We are what we are, so the offensive play calling has to match the personnel we have to work with. Running our 150 pound tailback up the A gap behind an OL that is getting pushed back two yards isn't going to convert the fourth and 3 inside the 5 yard line. We as fans are wondering what is wrong with Watkins, why isn't wells being more effective? The fact is that Wells and Watkins are running 40 yard crossing routes, and 30 yard deep hitch patterns and they aren't half way through the route before the play is already busted and Dart is shedding DT's.
