What age should a kid have a phone?

@Chase Parham asked the question on the pod, and it’s a question my wife and I have almost weekly. We have 3 kids 11, 7, 6. My 11 year old son says he is the only kid in his class to not have a phone. My 7 year old daughter says most of her class has a phone. This is not a judgmental post, because I know all parents have different views, but what age do you think it’s appropriate. Right now our position is when they start driving… they are not happy with that!
