Really? A doughnuts and "boozy drinks" (including milkshakes with booze) place next to Uno Mas on the square?
Seems like the doughnut part is just lighting money on fire. Did they not study the area and see that High Rise Doughnuts shut down due to insufficient sales of high end doughnuts? Or that there are 3-4 other doughnut shops in town with drive-throughs that are more convenient and affordable?
I hope they're successful, but this doesn't strike me as something that'll thrive in Oxford. Maybe I'm atypical in this thought, but doughnuts are one of the last things I want while drinking craft beers or bourbon. And if I want a good beer I'll head to The Blind Pig, The Growler, Circle and Square, or City Grocery bar. For a good bourbon I just head to High Cotton or Oxford Wine and Spirits.
Am I wrong here? Do Oxonians want a flight of doughnuts with a flight of beer or booze?
And, yes, I know - TLDR.
