It's a complete free shot, and some of these things are certainly possible even with a loss. But, if we were to win....
1) A win puts us on the college football center stage in November and at least puts us in the relevant conversation for the duration of the regular season and postseason. We were in the conversation during 2014 until November but fell off.
2) Winning Saturday would put us in a prime position to win out. Winning out would put us right on the cusp to finish in the top 5 for the year, as the top team not in the Playoff. Going into 2024, Dart, Judkins, Watkins, along with added pieces to the offense and defense, we would probably be solidified in the preseason top 5-10.
3) Kiffin gets a signature win. Plus almost certainly the program's first 11-win regular season. Huge positive step for the process.
4) Recruiting and NIL will get a huge bump. Kiffin can sell Ole Miss being right on the cusp of something really special.
