The NBA's rule on HS players having to wait until they are 19 or at least one year past their HS graduation is probably going to be nixed due to some court cases that are floating about.
What about the NFL rule regarding waiting at least three years past High School graduation? How likely is that to pass the test of time?
There are numerous examples of NBA players who under the old rules went straight to the NBA from HS such as Lebron James, Kevin Garnett and Darrell Dawkins. They were significant players immediately.
Who would be a High Schooler who could go straight to the NFL and make an immediate impact?
I can only come up with:
1. Herschel Walker
2. Bo Jackson
I just don't think an Aaron Donald, Lawrence Taylor, Eric Dickerson, or anyone else would have the strength, maturity, or stamina to do it. Certainly no QB could come straight out of HS and play right away.
Walker and Jackson were just freaks of nature that come along every millennium.
