Outside of the 19-2 run, we beat them by 20, but it didn’t feel that way at all. It felt like we would claw to pull it to 2 and they would open it back up to 7.
We were down 23-16 and fought back to 2 at 32-30 and they opened it back to 7 at half.
They opened it to 11 in the 2nd half, but we got it back to 7 and it stayed in that range for about 5 minutes.
We tied it at 51 and even took the lead for a second. Then they opened it back up to 6 at 65-59 with about 8 minutes to go.
From there, we tightened it up.
But it takes so much energy to come back from deficits and, so often, you’ll see a team lose a bit of focus right after they fought their way back into the game. Today, we fought back from 3 different deficits and had enough juice to win the game. That’s pretty special.
