Until another Manning came along Cutcliffe would toggle back and forth between 4-7 and 7-4. Several of those wins were against Arkansas State, memphis Statet and the like. The losses included Texas Tech, Memphus State and embarrassing humiliations at the hands of actual SEC teams of whom we seemed TERRIFIED. Plenty of Ole Miss fans said that's good enough. Those fans are called "LOSERS".
The NCAA tourney takes in 64 teams. If you aren't one of the top 64 friggin teams, your program sucks. The NIT has been a complete joke since NCAA expanded. 1 trip in 9 years isn't good enough. I think Kennedy has had a few spurts of good coaching before the annual nose dive to the NIT. But it isn't good enough. It's pretty familiar.
