Can you imagine going Kirby Smart 2012-16 then Lane Kiffin 2016-??
*Another interesting thing to think about is what does Freeze do if we don’t throw him that lifeline in 2012? I actually think he would’ve continued to win there and would’ve been able to land a P5 job, but odds are it would’ve taken a few years. Does he take Vandy in 2014 after James Franklin leaves? Or is Ole Miss, post-Kirby in 2016 when he finally gets his crack at an SEC job? Also, if Freeze sticks around at Arkansas State longer than 1 year…where does Gus go? Does he take Memphis (instead of Fuente) in 2012 and if so…is he on the list above for Ole Miss in 2016 instead of Fuente?
Let’s say we did hire Lane in 2016. Does he bolt a year later for UCLA, Florida or Florida State? Or the following season for Miami? If so…who do we hire for 2018? Neal Brown? Is that finally Hugh’s time after winning elsewhere?
