Went to the phx open today with clients as I do every year. Used to go on Friday, then Thursday, and now Wednesday all due to the crowds. Today was the F’ing pro am and it was an absolute zoo. The process of getting in/out was hours long each way. To Uber out, you walk a mile, wait in line to get on a bus, drive two miles, get off, walk half a mile, get in an Uber, wait in 30 minutes of traffic. On a normal day my house is 7 minutes from TPC Scottsdale. Today; 1 hour 47 minutes. The “process” surrounding these big games and events has gotten out of control. Whether it be phx open or big SEC weekend in Oxford. Am I alone in feeling like these things have gotten much harder to attend?
