I am currently working as a professor/department chair in Phoenix.
I’m giving consideration to a job change after this academic year. It’s crazy expensive here, and as we hopefully have more children, my wife will either stop working or go part-time.
My friend is a financial advisor at Thrivent. I can work there (I’ve had a couple preliminary interviews). However, I’ve heard it’s really tough, starting out. Any thoughts on that?
Also, any other suggestions for jobs, preferable with remote options? My degrees are in music and theology, but I just finished an MBA. I’d hopefully find a position with a pay bump.
Thanks for any insight!
