I really don't understand why administrations give as much weight to a team's opinion on promoting an assistant after a head coach leaves or is fired. Michigan, for instance, has no way of guaranteeing that Moore is going to be able to continue what Harbaugh has done. Yes, he filled in when Harbaugh was suspended, but he did it with elite players that Harbaugh had recruited. I just have a hard time understanding why administrations give so much credence to player opinion.
