The protesters and rioters in Portland, Oregon are mostly white, in college, or recently graduated. They are under-graduates , graduates, and post graduate students, probably from about 20 to 25 years of age They don't have jobs. They are 95% white. They didn't borrow tons of money to go to college. They are from privileged families. Having mothers coming out to protect their children speaks volumes. They are babied brats. The answer to the question why Portland lies in the families. These are not fatherless families. This is a case of overly protective mothers.
