1). As the sideline reporter was interviewing Lane after the game on the field, Lane said, “We had a bad first half. Much better 3rd qtr, 21-0 in the 3rd. Now, we will shift gears, and start watching film today for Thursday Night. We have to get ready to get that trophy back.”
2). Same reporter interviewing Jaxson Dart after she interviewed Lane. when asked about the Egg Bowl Jaxson said, “We played poorly, and feel like we gave that game away last year. We have had this game circled all season, we’ll be ready.”
Both of those quotes were music to my ears. This team will be ready Thursday Night in Cowbell land. Lane has played there before, so he gets it. No one ever looks forward to playing in Starkville, but it sure is fun to beat them, and shut those bells up.
