One thing he said is a lazy media thing that everybody does..
He said basically “lane Kiffin hasn’t won a big game at ole miss. Maybe LSU this year but they’ve got 3 losses.” That is true but LSU’s 3 losses are a neutral site loss to Florida State, and on the road at Bama, and OM. Those three teams are a combined 26-2. Looking at teams record at the end of the year doesn’t tell you what type of team they were in September or October. Just because a team loses 3 or 4 games doesn’t mean they weren’t “a rolling ball of butcher knives” at some point during the year. Injuries happen and who you lose to matters. That line of thinking always gets on my nerves.
I don’t mean this as a shot at Mike solely everybody does it. He was fantastic on the show and would love to have him on more often. He clearly knows the league well.
