Player of the Week: Justin Lebron, Alabama

Lebron also led his team in nearly every offensive category including home runs (3), total bases (21) and runs (9), and he tied for the team lead in RBI (9) while ranking second in average (.526) and slugging (1.105). He posted three straight three-hit performances to open the week and homered in back-to-back games in the final two contests with the Rebels and three of the four contests on the week. Lebron tallied five extra base hits for the week.

Pitcher of the Week: Bryce Cunningham, Vanderbilt

The right-hander totaled four strikeouts and held the Bulldogs to only two hits in 9.0 IP. Cunningham turned in the longest outing of his career, throwing 122 pitches over nine innings. Cunningham’s performance on Friday was Vanderbilt’s second complete-game shutout of the season.

Freshman of the Week: Caden Sorrell, Texas A&M

Texas A&M’s Caden Sorrell led the Aggies with a .538 batting average to go along with two doubles, a triple and four RBI. Therookie also walked four times and stole a base. Against Houston, Sorrell went 4-for-4 and finished a home run shy of the cycle. In Saturday’s come-from-behind win against No. 17 Georgia, the freshman went 3-for-3 with three RBI to help his team win the series.
