I understand if Keith Carter doesn’t want to hire Beard.
I don’t understand how he could refuse to interview him.
And I certainly don’t understand why he would refuse to interview Wade.

Having said that, we have hired wife beaters to run our program before.
How can we claim we are serious about winning and not interview the candidate with the best history of success?
The result of that interview can be, “NFW can that guy represent us he made my skin crawl.” That is fine.
The apparent decision not to pursue Wade or Beard at all doesn’t seem like a serious approach or a serious process.
