He was there for the taking but one assumes Alabama thought they were in great shape at QB. One wonders why?

They had a one dimensional guy in Milroe. Tyler Buchner was pushed aside at Notre Dame by Sam Hartman, a transfer from Wake Forest. Ty Simpson threw all of five passes last year.

One has to believe that Spencer Sanders would have jumped at the chance at being the Alabama starting QB. Perhaps, Saban doesn't like one year rentals.

Nevertheless, the disparity at QB in the Texas game is what cost Alabama against Texas. Sanders would have been a major upgrade.

It is too bad that we can't make a mid-season trade.
