It has been a damn good week to be a Rebel:
The Lady Rebs won the Battle 4 Atlantis with 3 wins, including wins over two Power 5 teams: Arizona and Michigan.
The men’s team won their first road test to get to 5-0. That team may struggle this year, especially if we don’t get Cisse and Murray eligible, but all the close wins are indicative of a well-coached team and the future is bright.
And we beat State on the road by 10 to recapture the Egg and get to 10 wins for the second time in three years. Since the COVID year, we are 16-8 in the SEC and 28-8 over the last three regular seasons. And we are likely headed to Orlando for New Year's and a Big Ten match-up, a trip for which I for one am very much looking forward.
Seems to me that Rebel Nation has a lot to be thankful for on Thanksgiving 2023.
