If you are a team like the Pittsburg Pirates, why would you not sign this guy if he is willing to pitch for your team at a league minimum? I can understand if you are the Dodgers and you don't want the heat that would come with having Bauer on your roster, but what do you have to lose if you are a team like the Pirates? By the way, Trevor Bauer has a massive following of young people on his social media as he is always releasing videos and work out advice for young baseballers. I can assure you there isn't a high school baseball player outside of California that can pick out Mike Trout in a lineup, but they all know Trevor Bauer because they watch his videos.
