$240 million dollar expansion slated for Nucor Steel in Blytheville, Arkansas

Since the summer of 2016, Nucor has announced almost $2.7 billion worth of acquisitions, new construction and major plant expansions. They include the $270 million Nucor-JFE Steel Mexico joint venture now under construction with Japan’s JFE Steel Corp. and two new rebar plants announced this year in Missouri — for $250 million —and Florida —for $270 million.

And the company expects to continue expanding its capacity. It says it's evaluating galvanizing lines at its other sheet mills.
