‘Greatest sporting feat in the last 100 years’: Roger Bannister’s sub four-minute mile | Athletics | The Guardian
Sebastian Coe’s description of the doctor’s record-breaking run in 1954 underlines its enduring significance 70 years later

In the last ten years, ole miss has had close to maybe 15ish runners either run a sub 4 min mile, or ran one that equates to one while running the metric mile of 1500 meters (109 meters short of a mile). It’s still an amazing feat but someone had to break down the barrier.
70 years later the women’s world record In mile is 4:07.64. W the technology evolving ( and other unfortunate things) I say we see a woman run a sub 4 in next 15, 20 years.
What’s your best mile time? And was it on road? Track or treadmill?
