The guys like Neal and Jeff say that our QB will be making his first (SEC) start against Alabama at Bryant-Denny. This is true. Can't the argument also be made that their QB will be making his first SEC start against what could well be the best defense in the good ol' US of A? With the way Freeze and Malzhan are recruiting, I am not buying the whole scary Alabama defense thing as of now. For crying out loud, their biggest deficiency will be their secondary. That is not a good thing if Chad Kelly has the arm we expect him to have with a healthy receiving corps such as ours.

Alabama will be a great team. I am not denying that. What I am saying is that this division is too well coached / recruited for them to have a 2009-2010 defense in the immediate future. I might be naïve, but as I said earlier, I don't see us exactly "struggling" their if our O-Line is healthy and our QB play is decent. I believe our Defense is much better than their offense and if our O-Line is at least healthy and if our QB play is at least decent, their secondary could be in trouble.
