I wondered how losing the sideline presence of Coach Allen might affect this team. I realize we were pushed to the limit by Bama controlling the ball most of the game Saturday, but does the number of missed assignments concern anyone other than me? Batoon, who replaced Allen and is coaching special teams now, is in the booth during the games along with Wommack who is now coaching the linebackers. That leaves only Jason Jones and Kiffin as defensive coaches on the sideline during the game. Those two are great coaches, but we are short one defensive sideline coach compared to previous years and Allen was very vocal and involved during the games. May not be a factor, but, to me, it seems very relevant.
