Ole Miss beat the snot out of Tennessee this year.
Now, fact is right now Ole Miss is a better program. Tennessee is building a program and doing a nice job of it. But, until you finish with a better SEC record you will be behind Ole Miss. And, we don't play for quite a few years. So, the only chance you'll have at us would have to be in the SEC Championship game. Beating Ole Miss out for a recruit, a recruit who may or may not pan out, does not make you a better program. Winning games does and you're not there yet. And, you could have a new coach by the time we play again. Who knows. SC may come calling.

It's much easier to win in the East except it's harder for Tennessee than any other team in the East because you have to play Bama every year. There will be years you play Bama and LSU or Auburn in the same year. Any West team will be hard for Tennessee. But you do have two pretty much automatic wins in Kentucky and Vandy. In the West there are no automatic wins.

Because of having to play sooooooo many Freshmen the last two years, UT returns 19 of it's starting 22 and 40 of it's 44 in the 2-man from last year. They will all be bigger, stronger, better with the experience that they lacked this season.
EVERY team in the East and all but Arky in the West get hit by graduation and early NFL entry a lot harder than UT.. Florida lost ALL 5 of it's starting OL plus their back up center, Both TEs, 1 of it's starting W/R, 2 of 3 RBs and Driskel the long time Q/B starter even though he giot replaced by the dope smoking rapist mid way last year. On defense, they lose 2 starting DTs, one DE, Both OLBs and a safety from their starting lineup.
S/C, Ga, Mizzu have to replace quite a few on each team. Ky doesn't lose as many but UT was ALREADY far ahead of them and who cares about Vandy.
