Personally, I am sick of Adam Jones getting pass after pass by society, even if the victim laughs it off. Like I said before, I think he ends up serving substantial prison time at some point in life for being out of control and committing a prosecutable crime. Regardless of Cooper's stance, I think the league should take substantial action against that menace. Surely what Adam did was a violation of the players' NFLPA contract, his contract with the Bengals, and hopefully local assault and battery statutes. At least Cooper is making good money and was uninjured. What will happen when Jones grabs a defenseless victim and hits his or her head on the street or a curb? One purpose of incarceration is to protect society from someone. We deserve protection from him, regardless of his salary and athleticism.
