You couldn’t be more wrong about the holding calls, first. “Show up and play the damn game”? OM showed up and was on the way to a 21-0 lead….THEATER FOOTBALL is what we are in! Make the game a good story for tv to get more viewers. If ole miss gets up 21-0 on Texas 8&4 and starts blowing them out, people stop watching! Not good for the tv ratings. Neal is absolutely right, if Dallas turner plays for UK, SC, OM, almost any other sec team, that’s called targeting. That’s part of the bias. But here is my main question for Tyler and everyone. If we all know these refs “suck”…why doesn’t the SEC PUNISH the officials? When was the last time an officiating crew was publicly punished (reprimanded, suspended, fired) ?? 🤔 So you’re telling me they are okay with this, I use this word carefully, performance? No way ppl will suddenly stop wanting to be officials bc of them getting punished. I do agree with Tyler in handling adversity-they threw a flag, get over it and be so good that they can’t deny you. All that being said this doesn’t make any sense anymore for people to deny at least SOMETHING is happening.
