a $2000 scholly for any student with an ACT score of 21. Does anyone know if they still do that? It seems to be a fairly decent move on their part to aid in minor sport dollars by subsidizing the 13.5 to some degree. Ole Miss students, if memory serves, has an AVERAGE ACT score of 24. Would it be perceived at Ole Miss as an attempt to denigrate our academic standing by doing the same or something similar? Does this give MSU an advantage in recruiting non-revenue sport or baseball athletes? Is it worth it? MSU likely knows that they have huge ground to make up to remain competitive, so maybe they just don't care what the world thinks of their academic rep. One thing for sure, the kids that get the $2000 don't care what anyone thinks of their school.
