Even so, that's not surprising. And could be true. The NCAA is going to kill us, zreb! I posted earlier about being in New Orleans watching the Sugar Bowl, thinking Ole Miss was up and coming to an elite team. Love to have an overheated talk to those boosters and coach who screwed us.
Longo, is/will be the OC next year and more than likely Mcgriff is going to be the DC. McGriff is the one who is recruiting Avery. Look for him to come to Ole Miss if McGriff is hired.
There is one elite program in the SEC and 13 fighting for second. Ole Miss was the second best last year. Auburn was this year. Another team will be next year. Graduation and the NFL draft changes things each year. There's not a dime's difference between 2nd and 14th in the SEC. Auburn beat us because of a dropped TD pass by our first team AA TE. The team that makes the fewest mistakes wins the games. We made too many mistakes this year.
Beatle I Dk how bad the ncaa will do us. Maybe some of the coach releases is by their direction. I have no idea. Pratt is right that McGriff can help us in recruiting Avery and of course many more. I just hope these 2 big coaches can assemble a winning staff. I frankly thought we had one save Bafoon.
We should have left Dave coaching safeties. That was his specialty. We should have hired a top notch LB coach who could recruit to replace Allen. 20/20 hindsight.
