take care of the ball, and we will represent the West in Atlanta again.

Don't overreact to a game that we lost by 6 points due to 5 turnovers, including 2 fumbles on kickoff returns, a fluke TD pass on a tipped ball, and a TD pass on 3rd down that shouldn't have counted due to lineman downfield.

    RTR!

LSU will play us in Tuscaloosa and will try to power rush the ball against us. We match up much better to their offense than we did Ole Miss's offense. The bottom line is we have to limit turnovers and we can beat anyone.

Unless LSU drafts a QB, they wont win in Tuscaloosa, UNLESS we turn it over 5 times again, and then it'll be another close game.

    Overreact much?

IMO we made Ole Miss look much better than they are. We gave them the lead and they got to play with less pressure. If we had converted the 3rd and 4th and ones on our first drive and then scored, could have been much different. I agree Ole Miss will lose at least 2 even though the talking heads already have them in the SECCG.

I think we will beat LSU. I don't think we will beat UGA. And we may drop another one the way we are playing. 2-3 losses sounds about right for this team unless we improve a lot.

Why do people think the turnover margin will change? We were -2 last year. We were negative 5 tonight. Not trying to be pessimistic, but Coker threw, atleast, 2 balls that should have been easy picks, that weren't. It could, and probably, should have been worse. It is one game, but the facts do not point to us improving on turnover ratio.

Ole Miss will self-implode before the season is over. They used all of their good fortune for this season in this one game.

NewIf we do not fumble away 2 kickoffs in another single game the rest of the year, I honestly like our chances. Nevermind the other flukish plays tonight that I mentioned in my original post here.

That's what I thought. I hope they win out but with no offensive identity, no QB, DBs that apparently have never been coached how to look for the ball, and a schedule that is beyond brutal, I see no way they win out.

NewOle Miss may have won the game tonight but they had to work their ass off to finish it. Over 100 plays against their defense and they had players dropping all game long. The SEC west may be a crazy finish this season with a confusing tie break at the end.

We handed them 5 turnovers and they got two crazy TDs and still had to hold on at the end. Their complete lack of a running game will beat them at least once if not twice.

UGA and A&M will decide the season. Win both and we go to Atl IMO. Lose either one and the LSU game will be for second or third place in the west and a prayer of a 4th slot in a playoff. Lose both and it's 2010 all over again. We're lucky Ark is imploding and the barn has miles to go just to get competitive.

We are a seven win team this year....get over it. Any team with a QB will beat us.

NewI really like the optimism by several on this thread. We, as odd as it may sound, may have found our qb vs. ole miss. He made some mistakes but he
also made some plays that will help you win. But as someone else said, we must find our identity on offense, and, until we learn to keep teams from
passing 300+ yards, we can likely forget Atlanta or even winning the west.

NewI think we thump Georgia. If Alabama gets a win @ Kyle Field I like our chances at being 11-1... but we need help from Ole Miss now they arent letting a team that isnt a conference champion in the playoff.

NewLSU looked really, really good yesterday. No doubt about that. LSU also played Auburn. We played Ole Miss. Switch the opponents around maybe it is us that looks really, really good. You can not compare the two. Auburn was a hot mess yesterday. It is easier to look great against a bad team than to look great against a really good team. Ole Miss is a really good team this year. Let's let the season play out.

NewGreat thread and I agree with the OP, that Ole Miss can be beaten and we can climb the mountain once again. On first glance at their schedule I actually thought LSU in Oxford, and the Auburn game will be where the trip up. LSU can certainly beat OM if they win the LOS and don't have TOs. I expect Auburn to get better as the season goes on. They desperately missed Carl Lawson yesterday and Johnson just needs more games to grow up. I guess I just don't see OM as a program that can live up to the extreme pressure of being the lead dog. Hardly anyone can do that well, see Ohio State right now. OM plays too many good teams and they will trip up.

I also agree that I think we found something with Coker, and the way we stormed back with fury was extremely impressive. Given all the reps and scripting more things for Coker, I think he'll cut down the INTs and our O is going to be very difficult to stop. Also we're not going to throw up the ball like that again this year.

Don't give up on Coach Saban and this team like a lot of people did mid 4th quarter.
