Yes, it’s still a great job but…
Saban hasn’t won anything under NIL. He should have missed the playoffs again for the 2nd time, he got lucky. NIL has removed their biggest advantage of paying players and stocking the roster of 5 stars. They don’t have the same advantages today they had during Sabans tenure.
The expectations of that fanbase haven’t changed though, they’re going to expect Saban results in the NIL era and that won’t happen. Nick knows that as well as anyone.
You’re following a legend without the advantages that coach had. It’s an irrational fanbase.
