Even though we were down 49-32 at the half, I thought we could make a run at the Mormons..
We
had just as many open shots as they did...defenses were about the same,
but BYU was just shooting lights out.. We also missed a lot of second
chance shots/tip ins under the basket.. That trend couldn't possibly
continue for 20 more minutes..
I also though we had a deeper,
more athletic line-up.. It was just a matter of us finding our groove
and wearing them down.. The differential in turnovers/steals heavily
went our way.. We struggled to take advantage of the turnovers/steals we
got, but by damn, we kept whittling away...
This was a huge
win--the only NCAAT game on TV...Not a big audience, but big enough for a
lot of people to sit up and take notice...
