Bjork has proven to be just as bad or worse than Pete Boone. I really had high hopes when he was hired that he would change the small-time losing "culture" of Ole Miss athletics, as he came in with a reputation for having a low tolerance for losing programs.
He may be a "good fund raiser" but as far as winning in the major sports, we are just as bad or worse off than we were when Boone was ousted. Do the "funds" matter when virtually all of a school's sports programs are mediocre or bad? Most major schools have at least one program in which they excel, but we continue to have nothing - not even in baseball even though we have top 5 attendance and (arguably) top 5 facilities.
This latest fiasco - and that's the only fitting word to describe hiring Matt Luke permanently as head coach - has proven that Bjork has become what his predecessors were: Just a puppet of the good ole boy network, the Luke-Manning ilk, which have kept Ole Miss down since the end of the Vaught era.
When Luke runs what is left of the football program into the ground in 4 years or so, I can only hope that Bjork will be sent packing with him. Then we can start the process again - and hope for something different.

I can't recall of another instance where a position coach was elevated to HC.Not my pick but then I dk what the lay of the landscape is in reality at OM for seeking a new coach. I will pull for Luke.

Nah he's pretty spot on. They wasted money to hire the guy they already had. You on the other hand are still sadly obsessed lol. I think the hire is a mistake but it may have been the only option they had. The good news is we have a someone to sacrifice at the end of sanctions and it isn't Bjork lol. The good news is you still get to wake up with a hardon for him every day cause he is still the AD.

We had to sit with Bert for FIVE years being miserable, but I doubt we have to hire our OL coach as HC.

Ole miss absolutely did something wrong. The first NOA was a job well done for the investigators- ole miss fans do not deny any of that document. We do not contest the self imposed sanctions. Where the problems arise for us is the 2nd NOA where a rival player was given immunity. Mississippi state's star witness lied, its been proven he lied, it's only a matter of time before it comes out. In fact, I believe that the NCAA is doing your school a favor in holding our ruling back, for some damning information about this whole "process" will be revealed upon the arrival of OM sanctions. Your schools fanbase have been VERY critical of how OM has handled the NCAA investigation. Lets see how your school handles some heat.

There is a saying, "Let he who is without blame cast the first stone": Leo Lewis, in a multitude of ways, is not without blame. Quite personally, I wish this would all go away.. it's better for both schools. Unfortunately, it's not going away anytime soon. Mutually assured destruction is a real thing- we are dealing with humans, after all.

Here's another I got wrong: NCAA just gave Ole Miss 24-hour notice that they are releasing sanctions summary tomorrow.
