Not a lot of folks responded on the Evan Williams Single Barrel, thought we’d do Four Roses next since it’s a more popular product. What is everyone’s opinion on Four Roses distillery, specifically their Single Barrel vs Small Batch?
Four Roses Small Batch
Four Roses Distillery
Blend of 75% Corn, 20% Rye, 5% Malted Barley and 60% Corn, 35% Rye, 5% Malted Barley
90 proof
6-8 years
Average price $30
I’ve consistently found this bourbon for under $30, for that price it’s only second to Evan Williams SB to me in that price range.
Four Roses Single Barrel
Four Roses Distillery
60% Corn, 35% Rye, 5% Malted Barley
100 proof
I believe it’s a 10 year
Average price $40
A superior product than the Small Batch through the price seems to be increasing and I find it on the shelf less often than I used to.
I’m not sure you can go wrong with anything Four Roses does, they make great bourbon across the board.
